GAME RECAP
The Captains opened the game scoring the first seven goals before the Marlins found a goal courtesy of Camryn Gavula off a free position shot. CNU added one more goal in the first quarter before adding six more in the second quarter holding a 14-1 lead at the halftime break.
Christopher Newport added five more goals in the third quarter and one in the fourth driving their final total up to 20. Samantha Hill added one more goal for Virginia Wesleyan, and the last of the match at 6:05, off another free position putting the final score at 20-2.
VIRGINIA WESLEYAN LEADERS
Camryn Gavula and Samantha Hill each recorded a goal for the Marlins in the contest.
CHRISTOPHER NEWPORT LEADERS
The Captains were led by Kelsey Winters with three goals and nine assists. Zoe Dyer added four goals on seven shots. Aleixs Kasuda also added three goals.

The women's lacrosse team is back in action on Saturday, February 26, when they host Marymount University, for a Saturday matinee. First draw is set for 12 PM at Birdsong Field.
