VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team fell to the Knights of Southern Virginia University 16-1 on Wednesday evening in nonconference action at Birdsong Field in Virginia Beach, VA.

FIRST HALF

• Southern Virginia dominated the play of game in the first half scoring 11 goals on 23 shots. 

SECOND HALF

• The Knights scored three more goals to start the second half but Natalie Dunn connected with the net on a free position shot to hold off the shutout as Southern Virginia went on to win 16-1. 

KEY STATS

• Natalie Dunn scored the lone goal to avoid the shutout on a free position shot.
• Jordan Moilanen (L: 0-6) played nearly 40 minutes of action giving up 13 goals while making 10 saves.
• Brittneyann Hoover played the remaining 20 minutes and gave up three goals while making two saves.
