Before VWU: Ran track at Massaponax High School… Earned the Coaches' Award for outdoor track and the Captain's Award for indoor track… Honor roll… Member of the Spanish Honor Society… Sang in the school choir.

Personal: The daughter of Myron and Cathy Young… Has a brother, Justin.
