The Virginia Wesleyan Women's Lacrosse team (2-8, 0-2 ODAC) fell to No. 18 Roanoke 21-3.
The Maroons started with two quick goals before the Marlins answered as
Breanna Sviland scored off a feed from
Mikayla Szudera to cut the visitors' lead to 2-1. Roanoke went on to end the first quarter with a 6-1 lead.
The Marlins scored as
Shaunice Rone scored an unassisted goal to start quarter number two. However, Roanoke scored six straight goals to lead 13-2, but the Marlins responded as
Helen Kennedy-Butler scored off a pass from
Mikayla Szudera to bring the score to 13-3.
The Maroons held a 14-3 lead at the half and went on to win 21-3.

Shaunice Rone tallied one goal, two ground balls, and three draw controls, Sviland Breanna scored one goal and three draw controls, and
Helen Kennedy-Butler had one goal.
Brittneyann Hoover took the loss in the net as she played 30 minutes in net allowed 14 goals and had six saves.
