Box Score Women's Tennis (2-1) drove to Lexington, VA to take on Earlham College and defeated the Quakers 5-4. 

Sophia Bibbo and Haley Haydon were the first doubles team to finish their match. They won their match 3-1 to put the score at 1-0.

The next doubles team for the Marlins was Mikisha Thomas and Shannon Lewes and they lost their match to the Quakers 1-8. This doubles mach tied the score up at 1-1.

Tuva Flink and Sophie Engelberts took the court as the final doubles team to finish for the Marlins. Engelberts and Flink played a very evenly contested match which went to tiebreakers. The Quakers ended up winning in the tiebreaker to put the Quakers up 1-2.

In singles action, Haley Haydon's singles match was the first to finish up. Haydon ended up winning her two sets with scores of 6-2 and 6-1 to tie the score at 2-2.

Sophie Engelberts was the next Marlin to finish her singles match. She lost two sets with scores 0-6 and 2-6 and this put the Quakers up 2-3.

Kristina Abrams played the next singles match for the Marlins. She won her first set 6-1 and she won her second set 6-4. This singles match tied the score up at 3-3.

Shannon Lewes played in the next singles match for the Marlins and she won both two sets with the score of 6-2. This brought the score to 4-3.

Tuva Flink finished out her match for the Marlins and lost both two sets. The scores were 0-6 and 2-6 and this match put the score at 4-4.

Mikisha Thomas lost her first set in a tiebreaker with the score of 6-7. Thomas had no issues recovering as she won her next set 6-3 and the next set 6-2. Thomas won her singles match to make the score 5-4 and win the match for the Marlins.

The Marlins will hit the road and travel to Raleigh, NC to take on Meredith College on Saturday, October 14th at 1:00 PM.
