BRIDGEWATER, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team fell to the Eagles of Bridgewater College on Wednesday afternoon in ODAC conference action in Bridgewater, VA.

FIRST HALF

• Bridgewater controlled the action throughout much of the first half scoring 10 goals on 20 shots while Virginia Wesleyan managed to get off seven shots, four on goal. 

SECOND HALF

• After the halftime break the tide changed as the Marlins came out scoring four consecutive goals, one each from Helen Kennedy-Butler and Caroline Engle and two from Natalie Dunn, to put the score at 10-4 with 21:40 left to play.
• The Eagles responded with four consecutive goals of their own to regain a ten-goal advantage 14-4 with nine minutes left to play. 
• VWU added two more goals, both coming from Mikayla Callahan, to put the score at 14-6 but the Marlins ran out of time as Bridgewater claimed the win. 

KEY STATS

• Natalie Dunn and Mikayla Callahan both scored a pair of goals to lead the Marlins. 
• Jordan Moilanen (L: 2-9) made 15 saves while letting 14 goals slide past.

The women's lacrosse team is back in action on Saturday, April 17, when they travel to take on the No. 2 Generals of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. First draw is scheduled for 1 PM.
