  • Self-description in 10 words or less: "diligent, focused, determined, hopeful"
  • My favorite aspect of being an athlete is: "going to practice and working hard. I enjoy pushing myself and working hard to improve in any way and all areas that I can. I also love practices because the entire team is working toward both team and individual goals, and so we can all share our struggles and our triumphs. Having others working just as hard enables me to push myself further to achieve things beyond what I could do alone"
  • The part of my game I've improved the most is: "my attitude. I used to only think that I did well when there was a shiny medal or trophy to bring home and show off. Now, I am completely satisfied in knowing that I gave forth my best effort in each and every competition. My only goal is to break my own personal records. Anything other than that is great, but not essential"
  • My personal athletic goal at VWC is: "to grow as both an athlete and a person. I plan on becoming stronger in every way possible and developing and maintaining good habits on and off the field"
  • If I could spend one day with a famous person from any time period it would be: "physicist Michio Kaku, because I have so many questions that he could answer about the universe. To get his perspective would be great"
  • It's the year 2030 and: "I am in a city, teaching high school biology. I am coaching men's volleyball and track and field. I am a proud husband and father with an as of yet undecided number of children"
  • People might be surprised to know: "I have immense school spirit and was well known in my high school for my over-the-top costumes during spirit week"
  • The most important advice I've received is: "never think any goal is unreachable" -- My mother
