- "The reasons I eventually chose VWC were the small class sizes, its location, and the science department's new electron microscope. Another reason was the warm welcome I got from Coach Littleton (Mat) when I first met him.  That had a pretty big impact on my decision."

Sophomore (2013-14): Achieved his top mark in the mile with a time of 4:51.44 in the indoor season... Won the 4x800 relay at the Captains Invitational & Combined.

First-Year (2012-13): Set his career best in the steeple with a time of 10:57.6 in the outdoor season... Also set bests in the 800M and 1500M during that outdoor campaign.

Before VWC: Competed in cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field… Career best times: 18:34 (5K), 10:46 (3200), 4:46 (1600), 2:07 (800) and 7:14 (2000 steeplechase)… School record holder in the steeplechase… Cross country's Most Valuable Performer in 2010… Two-time recipient of cross country's West End Trophy, for success in academics and athletics, and involvement in the community… Most Improved award recipient in indoor track as a senior… Graduated ranked 10th in a class of 352… 2011 AP Scholar with Distinction… Richmond Times Dispatch Scholar-Athlete… Member of the Beta Club and the marching band… Drum line captain for two years.

  • My favorite aspect of being an athlete is: "the comradery that comes with being part of a team.  I think building a relationship with your fellow teammates both on and off the field is one of the most rewarding aspects of being an athlete."

  • My personal athletic goal at VWC is: "to compete to the best of my abilities, continuously improving myself, and contribute to the most to my team that I can."
  • If I could spend one day with a famous person from any time period it would be: "Ronald Reagan. I would choose Reagan because he is my favorite president and because he accomplished so much in his life."
  • If I could participate in a reality show it would be: "Wipeout, because I think it would be hilarious to try to compete on the show."
  • If I could possess one superpower it would be: "telekinesis. It would just be a really handy power to have. If you needed something from across the room all you would have to do is use your mind to bring it to you."
  • People might be surprised to know: "I'm pretty good at playing the xylophone."
  • It's the year 2025 and: "I'll be in a research institute studying the genetic make-up of bacteria and viruses."
