The Women's Track and Field team placed sixth at the ODAC Championship Meet with a score of 39 points.
In the shot put,
Mackenzie Swanson took 1st place with a personal best 11.91m, ranking second in program history to earning 10 points. Kamgaing also had a personal best, placing 7th with 10.89m and scoring 2 points. Tucker was 11th with 10.56m, and Durand placed 23rd with 8.44m.
In the high jump,
Norah Ciano placed 2nd, clearing 1.62m to break a school record, scoring 8 points.
Maria Plummer was 9th, clearing 1.42m.
In the javelin,
Zantia Durand placed 7th with a throw of 31.70m for 2 points, and fellow
Jaiden Mitchell took 8th with 29.20m for 1 point. Bailey Schottin placed 18th with 17.95m.
In the long jump, Chapman had a strong showing, placing 4th with a jump of 5.30m, scoring 5 points.
Lyric Hoggard finished 17th with 4.70m, and Hathaway was 18th at 4.62m.
In the 800m,
Ella Clingenpeel had a strong showing, placing 5th with a season-best 2:21.67, earning 4 points.
Salya Brown was 21st in 2:33.10, and freshman Abby Peck placed 23rd with 2:41.81.
In the 400m, Hathaway ran 1:01.81 in the prelims to qualify for finals, where she placed 8th with a time of 1:03.19, scoring 1 point.
Robin Remias ran a personal best of 1:14.03 to place 20th in prelims.
In the 400m hurdles,
Clarissa Thurston finished 16th in 1:18.45, and Anisha Carter ran a personal best 1:18.58 for 17th.
In the 100m prelims,
Julia Hathaway placed 10th with a personal record of 12.80 seconds.
Daryl Tucker placed 10th in discus with a throw of 33.00m. Tucker also did well in the hammer throw, placing 6th with 41.83m for 3 points, while Kamgaing threw 38.18m to take 9th.
In the 100m hurdles, Anisha Carter finished 14th in 18.38 seconds, and
Ashley Dickerson did not start.
Naimah Rafiq placed 22nd in the 200m with a time of 29.88 seconds, while Chapman did not start.
In the 1500m, Brown came in 16th with a time of 5:10.30, followed by Peck in 17th with a personal best 5:13.53, and
Kayla Kozella in 21st with 5:52.07.
Anisha Carter placed 13th in the triple jump with a mark of 10.04m.
In the relays, the 4x100m team of Hathaway, Makayla Clarke, Carter, and Rafiq finished 7th in 51.77 seconds, scoring 2 points. The 4x400m relay team of
Abigail Peck, Clark, Carter, and Clingenpeel placed 8th with a season-best 4:35.88, earning 1 point.
