Tuva Flink lost in the No. 1 singles match 2-6, 0-6, Sophia Bibbo finished her match next in the No. 5 singles spot losing 0-6, 2-6 to put the Hornets up 4-1.

Mikisha Thomas lost in the No. 3 singles match 5-7, 4-6 which sealed the win for the Hornet at 5-1. Shannon Lewes lost in the No. 4 spot taking her opponent to three sets, lost 3-6, winning 6-4, and dropping set three 6-1.

Sophia Engleberts lost in the No. 2 singles match taking her opponent to three sets, losing set one 3-6, winning 6-4, and losing 7-6 in set three. Haley Haydon won the No. 6 singles match 8-2 to cut the lead to 7-2.
