Box Score The Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team dedicated their final match of the fall season to breast cancer fighters and survivors in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The ladies triumphed over Meredith College 7-0.
The Marlins cruised to 6-1 victories at the top two positions in doubles with
Tuva Flink and
Zoe Vliegen paired at #1 and
Meena Lennon and
Jette Hafermann teamed up at #2. Despite
Grace McGhee and
Ashlynn Merritt's tough loss at the third spot, the Marlins secured the doubles point to go up 1-0.
Singles play was dominated by the Marlins, who refused to drop a set at lines #1-6. The young Marlin team gained confidence from their solid play this fall season and will be set to return to competition in the spring.
