The Virginia Wesleyan women's swimming team lost only their second dual of the season against Division II opponent Barton 138-62. 

Lora Young won her event and broke her own record in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:09.68. 

Lauren Hendrick took first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.42, Suzanna Fernandez finished fifth with a time of 2:17.19, Colette Kearney was sixth with a time of 2:36.10, and Ariana Fletter was seventh with a time of 2:42.26. 

Hendricks took home gold in the 100 freestyle with a time of 56.47, Sarah Czapp was third with a time of 58.71, Audrey Roberts came in fifth with a time of 1:00.18, Sarah Verbeck was seventh with a time of 1:05.71, and Ariana Fletter was eighth with a time of 1:12.80. 

Sarah Czapp led the Marlins in the 50 free coming in second with a time of 26.68, Audrey Roberts finished fifth with a time of 26.95, Samantha Vos was seventh with a time of 28.67, and Sarah Verbeck was eighth with a time of 29.14. 

Chloe Scott was second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:05.28, Lora Young was third with a time of 1:05.66, and Samantha Vos was sixth with a time of 1:11.34. 

Suzanna Fernandez finished second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.42, Erin Beaudry came in fifth with a time of 1:08.97, and Britni Arrington was sixth with a time of 1:14.69. 

In the 200 yard medley, the quartet of Suzanna Fernandez, Abi Carlson, Chloe Scott, and Lauren Hendrick was second with a time of 1:59.03 and the team of Erin Beaudry, MariKlaire Morris Larkin, Samantha Vos, and Sarah Czapp was fourth with a time of 2:05.29. 

MarKliare Morris Larkin was fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:30.75, followed by Chloe Scott with a time of 2:32.07, Abigail Carlson finished sixth with a time of 2:36.77, and Kara Young was seventh with a time of 2:56.93. 

Collette Kearney came in fourth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:56.67, and teammate Kara Young was fifth with a time of 7:00.76. 

Abigail Carlson finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:16.16, Erin Beaudry was fifth with a time of 1:19.08, and MariKlaire Morris Larkin came in sixth with a time of 1:20.91. 

The 200 freestyle relay team made up of Audrey Roberts, Lora Young, Sarah Verbeck, and Britni Arrington was third with a time of 1:55.62.
