Box Score Women's tennis team (1-0) traveled to Hollins, VA. Competing for the Marlins was a mixed squad of four freshman and three seniors. The Marlins came on top, winning 9-0. Recording individual wins for the first time in their VWU career was freshmen Tuva Flink, Sophie Engelberts, Mikisha Thomas, and Haley Haydon.  

In the doubles match Sophie Engelberts and Tuva Flink fought hard for the Marlins and won their game 8-1.

On another court, Mikisha Thomas and Shannon Lewes won their match 8-0

The Final Marlin doubles team was Sophia Bibbo Haley Haydon, who hit well and won their match 8-1.

The Marlins also won all of their singles matches as well. Sophie Engelberts won her match 6-0, 6-0.

Tuva Flink also won her singles match for the Marlins with the scores 6-1, 6-0.

Mikisha Thomas also won her match 6-0, 6-1.

Kristina Abrams won her match 6-1, 6-0.

Haley Haydon won her match 6-0, 6-3.

Lastly, Sophia Bibbo won her match 6-0, 6-0.

The Marlins are now 1-0 in ODAC conference play and will face off the Generals of Washington & Lee on Saturday, Sept 30th at 2pm.
