The Virginia Wesleyan men's tennis team breezed past Division II Virginia State 7-0 and secured a 9-0 victory over ODAC opponent Bridgewater.

Game One:

The Virginia Wesleyan men's tennis team breezed past Division II Virginia State 7-0. Parawa and Curovic led the way for the Marlins with a 6-0 victory at No. 1. Challagundla and Combos paired at No. 2, also dominating 6-0. Missing their sixth player, Virginia State lost at No. 3 by forfeit to giviethe Marlins the doubles point.

Jonas Jutz played his first match at the No. 1 singles, refusing to drop a single game. Perry, Challagundla, and Zrnic all won in straight sets. Bryce Jones played in the line-up for the first time this season at No. 5 against Filaun Paythress with a score of 6-0, 6-0. 

Game Two:

In the afternoon, the men faced Bridgewater in a more competitive match but still secured a 9-0 victory. The familiar duo of Bevc and Curovic returned to the No. 1 spot, securing a decisive 8-1 victory. Jutz and Perry took down Matthew Leonard and Noah Hughes at the second spot while Cabaddu and Challagundla solidified the team's lead with a win in the third match. 

The Marlins stormed through singles at every spot. Not a single Marlin dropped more than three games in their straight sets victories. 

Next up, the men will face Shenandoah in an away match on Saturday, April 8.
