The Virginia Wesleyan University men's tennis team (8-5, 5-2 ODAC) won 7-2 against conference opponent Guilford.
The Marlins won the doubles after the No. 1 doubles lost the first match, forcing the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles partners to step up. Felix Bevc and Francis Bacaddu won 8-3 in the No. 2 spot, and Jonas Juetz and Sainandan Challagundla won 8-6 to get the point.
Felix Bavc finished first and lost the No. 1 match, and Alen Curovic won his match in the No. 4 spot, winning 6-1 and 7-5. Francis Cabaddu won the No. 3 spot 6-3, then dropped set two 6-3, and came back to win the third set 6-3.
The match of the day was Hubert Parawa who rallied after falling in set one 6-3 and won the next two sets 6-4, and 7-6, respectively. Jonas Juetz notched the win in the No. 5 spot, winnings 6-3 in sets one and two.
Cam Perry had a thrilling match winning set one 6-1, dropping set two 6-4 but winning the third set 10-7 to seal the 7-2 win for the Marlins.
