The Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team began their weekend campaign in Southern Virginia with a decisive 9-0 win over conference opponent Ferrum College.
Alexa Brewster and
Shannon Lewes refused to drop a game at No. 1 doubles. The Marlins also secured victories at No. 2 and No. 3.
Alexa Brewster and
Christine Zalameda won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles securing the Marlin victory.
Grace McGhee gave a stellar performance, in her second appearance at No. 6 singles this season, and
Maya Brown won in straight sets at No. 5.
Saturday, April 15, the Marlins will face Guilford College in an away match.
