The Marlins traveled to Salisbury on Saturday, February 24th for a double header against the Salisbury Seagulls and the Goucher Gophers. The back to back matches took place at the University of Salisbury's indoor tennis facility which houses three hard courts. The Marlins fell 3-6 to Salisbury and bounced back with a 6-3 victory over Goucher.

Felix Bevc and Alen Curovic had a strong showing at #1 doubles, winning 8-2 over the Seagulls pair of Gianluca Beaujon and Mitchell Desman. Freshman Alen Curovic carried his winning momentum into singles, dominating over Russell Willenborg at the #3 spot with a score of 6-2 6-1. Francis Cabaddu fought hard at #5 singles, edging past Aron Bursztyn 7-6 (12-10) 7-5. 

The Marlins had a thirty minute rest before beginning their campaign against Goucher College. Bevc and Curovic went 2-0 for the day at #1 doubles, sealing an 8-3 victory. Jonas Jutz and Sai Challagundla won 8-3 at #2, and Camden Perry and Stefan Zrnic won 8-5 at #3, making it a doubles sweep for the Marlins.

In singles play, the Marlins shifted players up the lineup to get further competitive experience. Francis Cabaddu and Jonas Jutz won at the top two singles spots, and Junior transfer student, Stefan Zrnic won at #6.

The coaching staff  was pleased with the Marlins performance as they faced a wide variety of opponents. The Marlins will return to competition on Sunday, March 5th against Marymount University. The match is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am at Virginia Highlands Park Tennis Courts in Arlington, VA.
