The Marlins hosted Rhodes College on Friday, March 24 at Virginia Wesleyan's Everett Tennis Center. This was the women's first home match of the season and the second for the men.
The Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team fell 0-9 to Rhodes College.
The Marlins struggled to get on the board in doubles against the Lynx of Rhodes College with scores of 0-8, 0-8, and 1-8 at the #1, #2, and #3 doubles spots, respectively.
The Lynx dominated the Marlins in singles play. Alexa Brewster came the closest to victory, pushing her opponent to three sets at the number one spot in singles. Brewster came up just short, losing 2-6, 7-6 (1), 5-10.
Today the women will face Christopher Newport University just thirty minutes away in Newport News, Virginia.
