VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.  |  The Marlins men's tennis team faced the 12 time defending ODAC Champions at the Virginia Beach Tennis & Country Club Monday afternoon to begin conference play for the 2023 season. The Marlins fell to the Washington and Lee Generals 0-9.

Bevc and Curovic had a strong showing at #1 doubles, but ended up losing 4-8 to the ITA southeast regional champions, Evan Erb and Evan Brady. At #2 and #3 doubles, the Marlins lost 0-8 and 2-8. 

In singles play, freshmen Alen Curovic and Jonas Jutz played competitively at the #3 and #4 spots respectively. 

Next up, the Marlins face Salisbury University on Saturday, February 25.
