The Virginia Wesleyan University women's swimming team improved to 5-0 this season with a 202-87 victory over Sweet Briar.
Lauren Hendricks was the MVP of the meet winning her events with
Lora Young hitting two personal bests.
Virginia Wesleyan took the top four spots in the 50 breaststroke with Abi Carlson in first recording a time of 34.82,
Erin Beaudry second with a time of 35.46,
Samantha Vos third with a time of 36.98, and Mari Klaire Morris Larkin fourth with a time of 37.81.
The quartet of
Suzanna Fernandez, Abi Carlson, Scott Chloe, and
Sarah Czapp took first in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:00.20.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the team made up of
Sarah Verbeck,
Suzanna Fernandez, Abi Carlson, and
Lauren Hendricks came in first with a time of 1:49.63, and the team of
Erin Beaudry,
Lora Young,
Makenna Good, and
Ariana Fletter was third with a time of 2:07.14.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Lauren Hendrick took first with a time of 2:07. 34,
Sarah Czapp was third with a time of 2:15.03, and
Makenna Good was sixth with a time of 2:56.60.
Chloe Scott led the team in the 500 butterfly with a time of 29.21, and
Samantha Vos was second with a time of 31.78.
Suzanna Fernandez took first in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 30.24, followed by
Audrey Roberts with a time of 30.70 in second place,
Britni Arrington was fourth with a time of 31.92, and
Colette Kearney was fifth with a time of 36.50.
In the 50-yard freestyle,
Lauren Hendricks led the Marlins with a time of 25.86,
Sarah Czapp was second with a time of 26.62,
Audrey Roberts came in third with a time of 26.85, and
Sarah Verbeck finished fourth with a time of 29.12.
Hendricks pocketed another first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.70,
