The Marlins Men's Swimming Team showed strength and balance by winning 11 of the 12 individual events and both relays for a 147 to 55 points victory on the road against Gallaudet University.
The 200 Medley Relay team of GK Laing,
Cael Long,
Declan Keener, and Dwight Robinson swam to victory in 1:45.00 getting closer to breaking the school record this season. The 200-free relay team of Keener,
Andrew McMullen,
Elias Paulino, and
Logan Schohn won with a strong time of 1:43.84.
Sophomore
Cael Long broke his school record in the 100 IM winning the event in 56.39 on route to triple individual wins which also included the 100 fly in 53.13 and the 100 free in 50.48.
Three Marlin Men stood out with double individual victories. Freshman Dwight Robinson starred in double wins for both backstroke events achieving a lifetime best in the 100 with 1:06.27 and a time of 30.06 in the 50. Robinson also achieved 3rd in the 50 free with 25.60.
Freshman GK Laing shined in the freestyle events winning both the 200 in 1:56.11 and 50 in 24.19. Laing also took 2nd in the 100 IM in 1:00.31.
Freshman
Elias Paulino dominated the breaststroke events winning both the 50 in 36.39 and the 100 in 1:19.25. Paulino also took 4th in the 100 IM with 1:11.72.
Key victories were secured by sophomore
Logan Schohn in the 1000 free with 11:36.88 and freshman
Declan Keener in the 500 free with 5:29.84. Schohn also took 4th in the 100 free with 59.48 and Keener swam to 2nd place in the 100 fly with 58.76.
Senior
Andrew McMullen played a key role in achieving important points with two second-place finishes in the 500 free in 6:07.98 and the 200 free in 2:12.47. McMullen additionally achieved 3rd place in the 100 free in 59.38.
