VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan University men's tennis team fell on Sunday afternoon in a scrimmage against regionally ranked No. 9 Christopher Newport University.
INSIDE THE SCORE
- The Captains took the earlly lead winning two of the three doubles points.
- Marlin seniors Tim Tep and Henry West won at No. 2 doubles with a score of 8-7 (7-4) over the Captains No. 2 duo.
- In the singles bouts, Mitchell Perry and Francis Cabaddu claimed individual wins at their respective singles flights, while CNU took the remaining four.
- Perry won at No. 2 singles by a score of 6-2, 6-2.
- Cabaddu took the No. 3 flight after a hard fought battle in which he won in three sets, 0-6, 6-4, 10-8.
