Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team defeated the Vikings of Elizabeth City State 5-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the Everett Tennis Center in Virginia Beach, VA.

- The teams played Division I/II rules where the doubles points counted as one instead of three like they do in Division II matches.
- The Marlins controlled the pace of the match early on winning two doubles matches, to claim the team point heading into singles.
- Celeste Rucker and Anna Rogers got the Marlins on the board with a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles.
- Alexa Brewster and Christine Zalameda won the No. 1 doubles match 6-2 to clinch the double point.
- In the singles bouts, the Marlins won four matches to win the match 5-0.
- Zalameda won at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-0 giving up just two games to her opponent.
- Kristina Abrams gave up just one game to her opponent winning at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-0.
- At the No. 5 singles spot, Sophia Bibbo won 6-1, 6-2, giving up just three games to her opponent.
- Taylor Saunders wrapped up action with a a perfect round at No. 6 singles winning 6-0, 6-0.
