VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team fell to the Vixens of Sweet Briar College 9-0 on Friday afternoon at the Everett Tennis Center in Virginia Beach, VA. 

INSIDE THE RESULTS

• The Vixens controlled the pace of the match early on winning all three doubles matches.
• Alexa Brewster and Christine Zalameda fell 8-1 at No. 1, while Anna Rogers and Maya Brown dropped their set 8-3 at No. 2.
• Kaitlyn Totman and Sophia Bibbo fell at No. 3 doubles 8-1
• In the singles bouts, Sweet Briar won all six bouts pretty decisively with the exception of  the No. 2 singles match.
• Zalameda lost the first set 6-0 but battled in the second set forcing a tie breaker which SBC's player won 7-6 (7-4).

UP NEXT
The Marlins return to the court again tomorrow, Saturday, April 2, when they host the WildCats of Randolph College. The match is slated to begin at 1 PM.
