Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team fell to the Cougars of Averett University on Tuesday afternoon at the Everett Tennis Center in Virginia Beach, VA.

- The Cougars controlled the pace of the match early on winning all the three doubles matches.
- Alexa Brewster and Christine Zalameda fell to the No. 1 Cougars pair 8-0, while Kristina Abrams and Kaitlyn Totman dropped the No. 2 doubles match, 8-0.
- Sage Mitchell and Sophia Bibbo fell at No. 3 to the Cougars 8-1.
- In the singles bouts, Averett claimed all six matches to win the game 9-0.
- Brewster lost at No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-3, while Zalameda fought hard at No.2 singles but dropped a three set decision, 6-2, 1-6, 10-7.
- Anna Rogers lost at No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-0.
- Kristina Abrams was held scoreless at No. 4 singles falling 6-0, 6-0.
- Kaitlyn Totman dropped her singles bout 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5, while Maya Brown rounded out the action with a 6-1, 6-0 loss at No. 6 singles.
