Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan men's tennis team picked up a 9-0 sweep decision at home in the ODAC opener on Sunday afternoon at the Everett Tennis Center in Virginia Beach, VA.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
- Action began with the doubles teams going against each other with VWU claiming all three bouts.
- Each doubles duo won 8-0 and did not give up a single game.
- Felix Bevc and Mitchell Perry paired up at No. 1 doubles, while Timothy Tep and Francis Cabbadu played together at No. 2. Cam Perry and Sai Challagundla matched up as the No. 3 doubles.
- Moving in to singles action, the Marlins claimed all six singles bouts with only three games going in the Panthers direction in flights one through five.
- Tim Tep won 6-0, 6-1 giving up just one game to his opponent.
- Francis Cabbadu did not give up a game while playing at No. 2 singles.
- Cam Perry, who played in the No. 3 spot, won 6-1, 6-0, while Sai Challagundla was another Marlin who did not give up a game while playing at No. 4 singles.
- Dheeraj Koritala only allowed his opponent to win one game with set scores of 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 5 singles flight.
- Bryce Jones wrapped up the line up playing in the No. 6 flight and picked up his second win of the season playing a challenging three set match. Jones wound up claiming the victory 7-5, 4-6, 13-11.
