Box Score ARLINGTON, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan men's tennis team picked up a 7-2 decision on the road at Marymount University on Friday afternoon in Arlington, VA.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
- Action began with the doubles teams going against each other with VWU claiming two of the three bouts.
- Felix Bevc and Mitchell Perry dropped an 8-4 match up against MU's No. 1 duo.
- Timothy Tep and Francis Cabbadu toppled the No. 2 pair 8-4 for the Marlins, while Cam Perry and Sai Challagundla won 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
- Moving in to singles action, Mitchell Perry won 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot.
- Francis Cabbadu, who played the No. 2 flight for the first time this season, won 6-2, 6-4.
- Sai Challagundla also played a higher flight than normal filling in the No. 3 spot. Challagundla dropped his match up 6-4, 6-3, the only singles bout that the Saints won.
- Cam Perry won 12 straight games at No. 4 singles going 6-0, 6-0, while Dheeraj Koritala only allowed his opponent to win one game with set scores of 6-0, 6-1.
- Bryce Jones wrapped up the line up playing in the No. 6 flight and picked up his first win of the season, 6-2, 6-2.
