Marlins Womens swimming collect two wins on the road

The Marlins pick up another 2 wins on the road, sitting at a 4-2 season record.
 
- The 400 meter Medley Relay of captain Chloe Dewberry, Freshman Abi Carlson , Junior Kelsey Kisner and Sophmore Lauren Hendricks finished first with a time of 5:00.82.
- Lauren Hendricks also led the Marlins to victory in the 200 free, going 1-2 with Freshman MK Morris-Larkin.
- Dewberry swam a strong 100 backstroke, finishing first with a time of 1:15.17.
- Abi Carlson and Sam Vos teamed up  to go 1-2 in the 100 breaststroke. Times were 1:26.23 and 1:29.44.
-Kelsey Kisner swam her first 200 fly in meters. She dominated and won with a 2:49.03.
-Audrey Roberts managed to break 30 in the 50 free while securing the win for the Marlins. Her time, a speedy 29:87.
- Dewberry touched the wall first at 2:44.14 in the 200 meter backstroke.
- MK picked up her first individual win of the day taking home the 200 breaststroke in 2:44.40.
- Hendricks picked up her second win of the day in the 400 free.
-Kisner easily finished the 100 meter butterfly in first with a 1:13:95.
- Roberts, Hendricks, Carlson and Dewberry emerged victorious in the 200 meter Freestyle Relay, stopping the clock at 2:01.24.


The Marlins came out victorious of both dual meets, scores:
Virginia Wesleyan University – Sweet Briar 148 – 78
Virginia Wesleyan University – Ferrum College 171 – 32

Additional noteworthy performances:
- Emma Mastrogiacomo third in the 800 meter freestyle with times of 12:37.93
- Sam Vos picking up second in the 100 free.
- Kara young picked up 3rd in 200 breaststroke.
- Abi Carlson picked up a 3rd spot in the 200 IM

UP NEXT
The women will return to the pool in four weeks when they travel to Richmond for Yellow Jacket invitational. A 2 day invitational meet.
