Virginia Beach, VA – The Virginia Wesleyan Women's Swim Team secured their second win of the season on Saturday afternoon against Gallaudet. The lady Marlins had a big showing winning all events, and finishing with an impressive final score of 161 - 30 in favor of Virginia Wesleyan University.
Highlights from the meet:
- The Marlins won 11 out of the 11 events of the day.
- Leading the way for the ladies was
Lauren Hendricks who picked up wins in the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, and 200 freestyle relay.
- Sophomore
Audrey Roberts won the 50 and 100 freestyle. She also anchored the winning 200 medley relay.
- Freshman Emma Mastrogiacomo picked up her first individual win of the season in the 1000 freestyle.
- Other individual event winners were: MK Morris-Larkin in the 200 IM 2:28.78,
Lizzy Ross in the 100 breaststroke 1:17.47,
Chloe Dewberry in the 100 back 1:06.64, and
Kelsey Kisner in the 100 butterfly 1:05.90.
