FIRST HALF
The teams fought back and forth up and down the field for nearly forty minutes with neither team finding the back of the goal. The Generals eventually found the scoreboard with 6:28 remaining on the clock as Caitlin Barnes received a pass from Ava Boussy and shot it past a diving
Rachel Quigley for the goal. WLU took the 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
SECOND HALF
The marlins came out of the halftime break more aggressive needing to find an equalizer, however, neither team managed to score in the second half despite the Marlins taking nine shots to the Generals four.
KEY STATS
- Molly Gobble led the team with four shots while Shyenne Diaz added three.
- Keeper Rachel Quigley (W: 9-2-1, 4-1-0) played all 90 minutes between the pipes making three saves while giving up the lone goal.
