FIRST HALF

• The Hornets came out strong taking ten shots in the opening quarter, scoring three goals. The Marlins defense recorded three saves.
• Shenandoah added four goals in the second quarter taking a 7-0 lead into halftime. 

SECOND HALF

• Coming out of the break SU scored three more goals in the final two quarters while the Marlins recorded eight saves, six coming in the fourth quarter, as the final score sat at 10-0.

The Virginia Wesleyan field hockey team returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 8 as they host the Maroons from Roanoke College. The Marlins and Maroons will face off at 12 PM at Birdsong Field in Virginia Beach, Va.
