VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - In a rain shortened contest, the Virginia Wesleyan University women's tennis team defeated Guilford College 7-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Everett Tennis Center.  The Marlins started the match by sweeping doubles and then claimed four singles matches before the courts were soaked by passing rain showers.  Alexa Brewster and Christine Zalameda did not complete their matches at #1 and #2 singles respectively.

• Shannon Lewes improved to 6-2 by claiming her team point at #4 singles
