BRIDGEWATER, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan University field hockey team fell to the Eagles of Bridgewater College on Sunday afternoon in ODAC competition in Bridgewater, VA.

FIRST QUARTER

• Bridgewater got things started with a pair of goals in the opening quarter on six shots while holding Virginia Wesleyan to one shot.

SECOND QUARTER

• The Marlins found a goal about eight minutes into the second quarter off a shot from Jaiden Shaw that came off a Catherine Dozier pass.
• The Eagles responded with another pair of goals and took the teams into halftime with BC leading 4-1 over VWU.

THIRD QUARTER

• Bridgewater added another pair of goals in the third quarter off of eight shots while again holding the Marlins to just one shot as the teams went into the third with the Eagles leading 6-1.

FOURTH QUARTER

• The Eagles solidified their victory with three more goals in fourth to win 9-1 over the Marlins.

The field hockey team returns to action again on Tuesday, April 13, when they play host to the Vixens of Sweet Briar College at Birdsong Field in Virginia Beach, VA. Game time is set for 1 PM.
