SALEM, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan men's tennis team claimed their 5th win of the season on Saturday by taking down Roanoke College 8-1 in Salem.  The Marlins swept the doubles 8-4, 8-4, 8-3 respectively.  Following doubles, VWU took 5 of 6 singles matches for the 8-1 win.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

• After dropping the first set 6-4, #1 Mitchell Perry played a clean 2nd and 3rd set taking down Roanoke senior Jack Fishwick, 4-6, 6-1, 6-0.
• Marlin freshman Felix Bevc remained undefeated at #2 singles in the ODAC winning 6-0, 7-5 over Dalton Capobianco.
• Connor Cummings defeated Roanoke's Lance Beheler 6-4, 6-3.

The Marlins will stay in Roanoke to play a road double header on Sunday.  First up for VWU is a 11 AM match vs. Emory & Henry followed by a 3:30 PM match vs. Lynchburg.  The Emory & Henry match will be at the Roanoke College tennis courts and the Lynchburg match will be on the campus of the University of Lynchburg.
