LEXINGTON, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan University field hockey team fell to the Generals of Washington and Lee University on Friday evening in ODAC competition.

FIRST QUARTER

• Washington & Lee controlled possession of the bal in the first quarter taking 15 shots and scoring two goals.

SECOND QUARTER

• The Marlins got three shots off in the second quarter but couldn't manage to find a goal while the Generals added two more to take a 4-0 lead into halftime.

THIRD QUARTER

• W&L again controlled the quarter taking 12 shots and adding a fifth goal while holding VWU off the stat lines. 

FOURTH QUARTER

• The Generals added nine more shots and four goals to defeated the Marlins 9-0 in VWU's first road test. 

KEY STATS

• Stephanie Hoke took two shots for VWU and Catherine Dozier added the third.
• Maura Bridges played all 60 minutes in goal giving up nine goals while making 21 stops.
