- The team settled in throughout the first 25 minutes of action getting a feel for their opponent and it was the Marlins who struck first claiming their first goal in the 27th minute off the foot of Kayln Byrd who collected a rebounded shot and put it into the back of the net.

SECOND HALF
- The teams duked it out nearly the entire second half without any reward until in the final 22 seconds the Marlins found their second goal of the match as Emma Acanfora put a pass from Sam Crawford into the back of the net.
