Box Score HARRISONBURG, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan women's soccer team defeated the Royals of Eastern Mennonite University 5-0 in a midweek shutout on Wednesday, October 6, at EMU Turf Field in Harrisonburg, VA. Five different Marlins score en route to the victory.

FIRST HALF
- The Marlins found themselves on the board rather early scoring their first goal in the 13th minute as Molly Gobble found the back of the net.

SECOND HALF
- VWU came to life putting four goals in the back of the net in the second half to clinch the 5-0 win.
- The Marlins second goal came from Breacain McClenahan off the pass from Camryn Terry in the 52nd minute.
- Ten minutes later Olivia Bryant scored off a penalty kick to put VWU up 3-0.
- Just over a dozen minutes later, Emma Acanfora found Virginia Wesleyan's fourth goal with 15 minutes remaining in regulation.
- The last Marlin goal came with under five minutes to play as Julia Marrone found the back of the net for the fifth and final goal.
