HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Virginia - The Marlins women's swim team won 10 of 14 events on the way to defeating the Sweet Briar Vixens 158-83.

- The 200 meter Medley Relay of junior
Chloe Dewberry, senior captain

Gaby Alvizo and
Lauren Hendricks secured first with a time of 2:18.87.

Audrey Roberts led a Marlin 1-2 finish in the 200 meter freestyle with a 2:24.86 and sophomore
Kiera Doyle touched the wall at 2:39.44.
- Alvizo and Dewberry teamed up for another 1-2 finish in the 100 meter backstroke with a 1:15.16 and 1:15.28, respectively.
- Smith cruised to a first place finish with a 1:28.24 in the 100 meter breaststroke.
- Hendricks, junior
Lizzy Ross, and Dewberry dominated the 50 meter freestyle, sweeping the event with times of 30.15, 30.38, and 31.13, respectively.
- Hendricks followed that up with another first place finish in the 100 meter freestyle in 1:03.17.
- Dewberry touched the wall first at 2:43.76 in the 200 meter backstroke.
- Smith and junior
Kara Young finished 1-2 in the 200 meter breaststroke with times of 3:08.31 and 3:31.09, respectively.
- Alvizo easily finished the 100 meter butterfly in first with a 1:14.86.
- Alvizo, Roberts, Smith, and Hendricks emerged victorious in the 400 meter Freestyle Relay, stopping the clock at 4:37.73.

Emily Lewis swam a 2:37.99 in the 200 meter Medley Relay, good enough for third place.
- Doyle and Lewis took second and third in the 800 meter freestyle with times of 11:15.36 and 12:10.17, respectively.
- Verbeck came in third in the 100 meter breaststroke, stopping the clock at 1:45.00.

Ariana Fletter took second in the 200 meter butterfly with a 4:06.00.
- Roberts' time of 1:06.29 in the 100 meter freestyle was good enough for thrid place.
- Doyle and Lewis repeated their 800 freestyle finsihes with a 5:24.83 and a 5:58.45 in the 400 meter freestyle for second and third, respectively.
- Young and sophomore
Britni Arrington came in second and third in the 400 meter IM with times of 7:24.81 and 7:47.49, respectively.

The women will return to the pool in two weeks on Saturday, November 13 when they travel to the eastern shore of Maryland to compete against the Seagulls of Salisbury University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1pm.
