• Forty minutes of action passed with both teams fighting for a score. CNU was rewarded just before the 41st minute with a goal from just outside the box off a free kick.

SECOND HALF

• The Captains found their second goal of the match just over two minutes into the second half to go up 2-0. 
• Nearly another forty minutes passed without either team scoring until Riley Cook from CNU scored her third goal of the match putting Christopher Newport up 3-0 for the win.
