Box Score FERRUM, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan women's soccer team shut out the Panthers of Ferrum College 3-0 on Saturday afternoon, October 23, in Ferrum, VA.

FIRST HALF

• The Marlins found the back of the net first in the 17th minutes as Emma Acanfora connected with a pass from Kennedi Anders to get on the board first. 
• Neither teams scored the remainder of the first half despite the Marlins getting off eight shots. 

SECOND HALF

• Virginia Wesleyan furthered their lead in the second half with their second goal in the 59th minute as Breacain McClenahan corralled a pass from Carleigh Van Reenen to find the back of the net. 
• Seven minutes later, Van Reenen scored the third goal in the 66th minute giving VWU the 3-0 lead and ultimately the victory.

KEY STATS

• Emma Acanfora, Breacain McClenahan, and Carleigh Van Reenen all scored a goal for the Marlins.
• The Marlins got off 22 shots to the Panthers one.
