FIRST HALF

• Roanoke scored two and a half minutes into the match to get on the scoreboard first.
• Virginia Wesleyan knotted the score at one all seven minutes later on a goal by Julia Strohman off a pass from Lauren Hedspeth.
• The Maroons found a second goal about three minutes later to lead 2-1, a lead that they carried into halftime.

SECOND HALF

• Roanoke turned on the burners in the second half scoring five goals in the remaining 30 minutes of action.

The field hockey team is back in action on Wednesday, October 27, when they travel to take on the ranked Hornets from the University of Lynchburg. The ODAC match-up is slated to start at 5 PM in Lynchburg, VA.
