Women's Soccer falls to Washington & Lee 1-0

Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan women's soccer team fell to the Generals of Washington & Lee University 1-0 on Saturday evening, October 16, at Foster Field in Virginia Beach, VA.

FIRST HALF
  • The teams battled back and forth throughout the first half of action with neither team finding a goal despite the Marlins taking seven shots.
SECOND HALF
  • Washington and Lee came out in the second half with urgency and were rewarded ten minutes into the return of action scoring the lone goal of the match in the 55th minute.
  • VWU tried to counter but could not find an equalizer as the Generals dealt the Marlins their first ODAC loss of the season.
