GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Virginia Wesleyan University men's swim team defeated Greensboro, 92-88, Saturday afternoon on the road. The victory marks the second dual meet win this season for the Marlins.
Kyle Woolf got things going as he placed first in the 100-yard breast with a time of 1:13.85, earning the squad nine points. Max Currens was then just off 0.18 seconds of his personal best in the 50-yard free, clocking a first-place time of 24.35.
Grant Morgan set a personal best in the 200-yard breast stroke as he touched the wall in 2:43.85, knocking nearly second seconds off his previous best. Caleb Royce almost set the new Virginia Wesleyan record in the 100-yard butterfly as his time of 59.94 was just .02 slower than the school's best.
Men's swimming will return to action after the new year as the team will host Ferrum on January 11th.
