ASHLAND, Va. -- The Virginia Wesleyan College women's soccer team scored in the 79th minute Tuesday night to even the score with Randolph-Macon College, ultimately drawing 1-1 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action.

Following a scoreless first half, the Yellow Jackets found the back of the net first as Kasey Booth sent home a penalty kick to give the home team the advantage at 67:41.

Virginia Wesleyan battled back for the next 12 minutes, finally finding the scoring column as Marli Hayward ran through the ball on the left side, ripping a shot for her team-leading fifth goal of the 2016 campaign.

The Marlins had a chance to take the lead a minute later, but a shot by the VWC attacker was saved by Christina Newman.
