Marlins make it 9-0 double sweep of Randolph

VIRGINIA BEACH -- Virginia Wesleyan College's men's and women's tennis teams dominated from start to finish Friday in posting a pair of 9-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference victories over the visiting WildCats of Randolph College.

Both teams won in straight sets in singles and allowed no more than two points in any doubles match. 

Rookie Ryan Sadinski (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) turned in a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles in a highlight match for the Marlin men, while senior Meredith Willett (Rumney, N.H./Plymouth Regional) and rookies Saida Bennou (Washington, D.C./St. Johns College) and Cay Gee (Parkton, Md./Hereford) did the same thing for the VWC women at 1, 2, and 3 singles.

Rookie Katelynn Duncan (Lynchburg, Va./Holy Cross) and Gee also won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles, as did Jamie Griffin (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) and Donnie Greathouse (Yorktown, Va./Grafton) for the men.

Borth Virginia Wesleyan teams compete again on Saturday, Mar. 26, playing at Bridgewater College at 1 p.m.
