Even though the school is small, it allows me to get a chance to interact and meet a lot of different people that I may share similar interests with. The VWC staff that I met was motivated to make sure that every student succeeds in class. There are also many academic resources that will assist me on my part at VWC. Personal

  • Self-description in 10 words or less: "I'm a caring person who is always there for others."
  • Enjoys alternative rock and spending vacation time in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
  • A fan of the Washington Freedom, Olympic soccer player Abby Wambach and actress Sandra Bullock
  • Favorites include the book "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," the movie "She's The Man," and the TV series "Psych"
  • My favorite aspect of being an athlete is: "being on a team with a group of girls who have similar talents and different interests, but all have a love for the game."
  • The part of my game I've improved the most is: "speed of play and vision of the game."
  • My personal athletic goal at VWC is: "to make a difference and be a consistent player throughout the season."
  • If I could spend a day with a famous person from any time period it would be:"Mia Hamm, because she has been my role model since I was a kid and attended a Washington Freedom camp.  She still holds the record for the most international goals scored, male or female.  This record shows her dedication to the sport of soccer and her determination to succeed."
  • If I could participate in a reality show it would be: "Extreme Home Makeover, because I would get a chance to improve the lives of those who may not have the money, or have health or personal problems."
  • If I could possess one superpower it would be:"constant memory, because I would be able to remember all the fun events that happened in my life starting from when I was a young child."
  • People might be surprised to know: "my parents bought a new van in 1996.  The dealership then asked my mom, my sister and I to star in a commercial. My sister and I were sitting in the van to make it look child friendly, while my mother was talking to the sales person about the wonderful features."
  • It's the year 2025 and: "I am a successful professional woman who graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College, and I'm bettering the lives of others.  I have earned a master's degree and I am self-efficient."
  • The most important advice I've received is:"use my talents to do what I love, and the rest will follow" -- Mom
