Men's Tennis Selected Third in the 2026 ODAC Coaches Poll

The Virginia Wesleyan University men's tennis team was voted third in the 2026 ODAC Coaches Poll, as voted on by the league's 11 head coaches. The Marlins received 78 points behind Washington and Lee in first place with 99 points and 9 first-place votes, and Averett in second with 88 points and one first-place vote. 

Last year, the Marlins finished with a 9-10 record and 7-3 in conference play to earn themselves the #5 seed in the ODAC Championship Tournament and was defeated by the #4 seed Shenandoah. Last Season, the Marlins doubles team of Tudor Vlad and Sainandan Challagundla were named First Team All-Conference for the #3 doubles spot and were ranked as high as No. 67 last season. 

The Marlins are also under new leadership, with the arrival of newly promoted James Moskowitz at the helm of the Men's and Women's Tennis teams.

The Marlins begin their 2026 spring season at home, against non-conference opponent Piedmont on Saturday, March 14th, with a start time set for 11:30 AM.
