The Virginia Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team was ranked eighth in the 2026 ODAC Preseason Poll voted on by the league's head coaches. The Marlins received 41 points, behind Bridgewater with 44 points, and ahead of Guilford with 25 points.
The Marlins enter the 2026 season after finishing 7-11 overall and 4-6 in the ODAC. Their leading scorer,
Ben Andrews, is returning after leading the team with 29 goals, eight assists, and a team-high 37 points.
