The Virginia Wesleyan University women's track and field team delivered a strong showing on day one of the ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, highlighted by an individual conference title and multiple all-conference performances.

Freshman Ester Zar led the way with a championship performance in the women's 5000 meters. Zar crossed the line in 18:05.27 to claim first place, earning 10 team points in the process. With the victory, Zar was crowned ODAC Champion in the event and garnered First Team All-ODAC honors. Her performance set the tone for the Marlins on the distance side and added a key scoring boost in the team standings.

In the women's long jump, sophomore Katelyn Griffin turned in an impressive leap of 5.38 meters (17-8.00) to secure a runner-up finish. Griffin's mark, which ranks among the top performances nationally in Division III this season, earned eight team points and Second Team All-ODAC recognition. Senior Lyric Hoggard added depth in the event with a 10th-place finish at 4.96 meters (16-3.25), while freshman Alani Hampton recorded a mark of 4.82 meters (15-9.75).

On the track, Hoggard also advanced to the finals of the women's 60-meter dash after posting a qualifying time of 8.04 seconds in the preliminaries. Anisah Kersey clocked in at 8.36 seconds in her preliminary heat.
