On the track,
Lyric Hoggard competed in the 60-meter dash prelims and finished 31st overall with a time of 8.11 seconds. In the 200 meters,
Anisah Kersey placed 45th after crossing the line in 27.95 seconds. Kersey returned later in the 400 meters, where she earned a 34th-place finish and posted a season-best time of 1:07.06.
Virginia Wesleyan saw strong results in the distance events. In the 3000 meters,
Ester Zar recorded a fourth-place finish with a personal-record time of 10:24.16, while Abby Peck finished eighth in the same race with a time of 11:14.40. Zar followed that effort with an outstanding performance in the 5000 meters, winning the event with a time of 17:52.21, which marked a new personal record and ranked No. 54 in Division III. Peck also competed in the 5000 meters and finished fourth with a personal-best time of 19:03.13.
In the field events,
Maria Plummer placed 10th in the high jump with a clearance of 1.42 meters (4-7.75). In the long jump,
Alani Hampton finished 19th with a personal-record leap of 4.85 meters (15-11.00), while
Katelyn Griffin did not record a mark after being listed as DNS.
The Marlins had several competitors in the shot put.
Mackenzie Swanson led the way with a fifth-place finish after throwing 12.21 meters (40-0.75).
Zantia Durand placed 15th with a personal-record throw of 10.25 meters (33-7.50), followed by
Bailey Schottin in 19th at 9.72 meters (31-10.75). Desi Hill finished 26th with a throw of 8.02 meters (26-3.75), and
Jade Turner placed 27th with a personal-record mark of 7.66 meters (25-1.75).
In the triple jump,
Katelyn Griffin placed 20th with a jump of 10.00 meters (32-9.75), while
Alani Hampton followed closely in 21st with a mark of 9.74 meters (31-11.50).
The weight throw rounded out the meet for Virginia Wesleyan.
Mackenzie Swanson placed 16th with a throw of 11.80 meters (38-8.75). Desi Hill finished 24th at 8.61 meters (28-3.00), and
Jade Turner placed 26th with a throw of 7.68 meters (25-2.50).
Overall, the Marlins showcased depth across events, highlighted by Zar's event win and multiple personal and season-best performances throughout the meet.
